World Lacrosse up to 79 members

Iran, Uruguay, Nigeria and Rwanda have joined World Lacrosse to bring the world wide membership to 79.

Iran joins World Lacrosse as the 18th member of the APLU, the fifth addition this year.

Uruguay joins World Lacrosse as the 21st member of the Pan-American Lacrosse Association and the sixth member from South America, along with Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

The inclusion of Nigeria and Rwanda continues the momentous global growth of the sport’s international governing body especially in Africa.

The Africa Association of Lacrosse has also been fully approved as World Lacrosse’s fourth Continental Federation, and it will support participation and sport development on the world’s second largest continent.
